Aami, located in Digwara village of Saran district is one of the Shaktipeeths of Goddess Sati. Hariharnath temple is another temple with a famous legend associated with it.  According to the legend, a crocodile or magar held onto an elephant’s or gaja’s leg for years until Log Vishnu rescued the gaja and took him to Vaikunth lok. The temple is built on to commemorate Lord Vishnu’s arrival on earth. A very large Cattle fair called the Sonepur Mela is organised every year  starting from Kartik Poornima and lasts for around a month. The fair attracts tourists from all over the world.
