Bodh Gaya, the holy land of Buddha forms a major tourist destination for the Buddhists all across the world. Located at the site where Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment, the Mahabodhi Temple is also a UNESCO World heritage site. Around the temple, one can find the uniquely designed monasteries built by several countries and a plethora of other places that definitely should be in the bucket list of any world traveller. Dotted with history and spiritual background, Gaya too finds an important place in the religious books for Hindus. The Vishnupad Temple at Gaya is the center for performing the Pinddaan puja for the salvation of their ancestors.

Itinerary

Day 1: Patna-Bodh Gaya

Arrive at Patna Airport. Meet and greet our representative at the airport and proceed for Bodh Gaya. Our representative will make necessary arrangements for the transfer. Check-in into the pre booked hotel at Bodh Gaya. After lunch, visit The Mahabodhi Temple.Do a walking tour/e rickshaw tour of the surrounding monasteries as cabs are not allowed in that area. Visit the Giant Buddha Statue and return to the hotel.

Day 2 : Bodh Gaya-Gaya-Patna 

Start your day by visiting Dungeshwari cave followed by Sujata Stupa. Proceed towards Gaya to visit the Vishnupad Temple and the Mangla Gauri Temple. After lunch, see the Gaya museum (Optional) and then drive towards Jehanabad to see the Barabar caves, the oldest survivng rock-cut caves in the world. Return to Patna.
