Patna is a religious place with temples spread all around the city. The oldest among them being, Mahaveer Mandir located next to Patna Junction.

Badi Patan Devi and Choti Patan devi are other temples that are quite popular and thronged by devotees all throughout the year especially during Dusshera time. Shitla Mandir in Agam Kuan, houses the famous well from the time of Emperor Ashok. It is said that Ashok killed his hundred brothers and threw them in this well in order to succeed the throne.
